| The Chaves County Administrative Center was designed to bring
together all of the administrative components of Chaves County
government, including specialized, secure spaces for the Sheriff’s
Department. The focal point of the structure is a Grand Rotunda
lobby, with the County Commission chambers centered on the axis
of the main entry through the rotunda. The rotunda references
the historic Chaves County Courthouse, an architectural focal
point of the area featuring one of the few domed roofs in southeastern
NM. The building features state of the art computer teleconferencing,
and security access control systems. |

"Over the past six years we have hired at least
ten different firms. Studio SW is the only architectural firm I have been
pleased with. They have done
an exceptional job with our county administration building. Throughout
the design phase for the administration center, Studio SW had listened, advised,
and worked closely with elected officials and staff to meet their needs.” – Eloy
Ortega, Chaves County Commissioner.
