CHAVES COUNTY ADMINISTRATION FACILITY

Roswell, New Mexico

A 70,000 sf multi-agency consolidated administrative office center for the County Administration, County Treasurer, County Manager’s Office, County Clerk, County Assessor, Planning &  Zoning and Environmental Department, as well as County Clerk, Polling Area and warehouse, Sheriff’s Department and County Commission. The project includes Sheriff Offices including dispatch, booking, holding, evidence storage,  detectives offices, exercise room and sallyport requirements.  

The Sheriff‘s office component represents approximately 20,000 sf of the entire new facility. Departments include the There is dedicated storage and specialized vaults for each department’s needs.  The focal point of the structure is Grand Rotunda Lobby with the County Commission chambers centered on the axis of the main entry through the rotunda. 

Electronic and security systems include:  Emergency Sheriff’s Dispatch Operation Center, full CCTV building security, secure evidence vault, secure computer network, document imaging for large and small formats. This is a one-story building which occupies a 10 acre site.  The site has an employee courtyard as well as public parking, staff parking and secure parking for the Sheriff.
