WHEELWRIGHT MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN INDIAN - EXPANSION

Santa Fe, New Mexico

A new research and collections facility developed for the Wheelwright Museum on its 8.37 acre site in Santa Fe’s historic district.  The 6,500 s.f. building addition and interior renovation continues the Wheelwright Museum objectives to maintain the integrity of the historic original building while providing expanded facilities and handicap accessibility.

The goal of the project is to insure the museum’s place as one of the most important and respected institutions devoted to Native American art and culture. The research reading room also serves as an auditorium for presentations, performances and special events.
