INDIAN PUEBLO FEDERAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MASTERPLAN (IPFDC)

ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO

Studio Southwest provided site masterplanning and building design services for a 47 acre site dedicated to GSA and related federal buildings and mixed-use commercial in central Albuquerque and is composed of 5-6 office buildings of 150,000 s.f. to 200,000 s.f. The site belongs to the Council of 19 Pueblos in New Mexico. 

The site design orients the building to minimize west exposure, maximize views of the Sandia Mountains, and to create the first phase of a major campus masterplan which integrates landscaping, views, buildings and parking to create a safe and pedestrian friendly environment The project has numerous LEED driven sustainable design features such as sunshades, energy efficient HVAC, rainwater recovery, and healthy/recycled content interior materials.  The mixed-use campus will incorporate hotels, restaurants and commercial development to support the office users.
