PETROGLYPH PLAZA

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Petroglyph Plaza is a 45,102 SF expansion of an existing shopping center located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Paseo del Norte and Golf Course Road.  The existing center included a Smith’s Supermarket and Circle K convenience store.

The center was designed as a pedestrian shopping village with wide sidewalks, projecting canopies, high quality finishes and ample landscaping.  The building is broken up into sections that each have their own design theme and colors.  A series of ramps and stairs were designed into the pedestrian walkways to absorb the steep site slopes.  These also provided opportunities for the establishment of outdoor seating areas associated with cafes located in the center.  The design is universally accessible for all shoppers.  A future expansion will add up to 15,000 SF of space.
