SIGLER WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTING WAREHOUSE

Albuquerque, New Mexico

The new 63,000 square foot facility replaces an existing, twenty-year old 14,000 square foot sales and warehousing facility located on the same site.  Due to the small size of the existing facility much of the inventory had to be stored outside where it was prone to damage and theft.  The new Office/Warehouse/Parts Showroom is a combined facility providing commercial and residential sales offices, retail parts counter and sufficient storage facilities to house all inventory inside.

The new facility is designed with the office/administrative area separate from the parts showroom/warehouse portion of the building while retaining a visual connection for supervision.

Relative to the building square footage the site was extremely small and the centrally located, existing facility had to remain operational during construction.  Separate entries and access control were programmed to accommodate daytime semi-truck deliveries, customer purchasing and sales/administrative offices with restricted evening use for training.

The Sigler Wholesale Distributing Warehouse is the first building in the State of New Mexico to meet the green building standards required for Silver level certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system version 2.2.
