UNM CARRIE TINGLEY HOSPITAL / CHILDREN’S AMBULATORY CARE CENTER

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Located adjacent to the University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) complex, this project is planned to replace the existing Carrie Tingley Hospital and the children’s outpatient functions located in UNMH.  The new building has been programmed for up to 137,000 SF of space and may be up to 6 stories in height with two major clinics per floor.  Medical services may include Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, Prosthetics, Orthotics, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Sedation, Specialty Care and Behavioral Health plus Radiology, Laboratory and a variety of support spaces.

The building is being designed on a standard clinic and space module for flexibility.  All clinic hallways will terminate with windows providing natural light and views for patients and staff.  A connection to the UNMH Pavilion is planned that will provide access to imaging suites and inpatient functions.

The new building is being designed in conjunction with SmithGroup and FKP Architects.
