GALLERY

The Anderson/Abruzzo International Balloon Museum is a one-of-a-kind, signature international visitor destination located in the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park. It is tied to the world famous Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, overlooking the official launch field. The Albuquerque International Balloon Park, a 352 acre multi-use park with 100 acres of launch field, was also designed by Studio SW.

The Balloon Museum is designed to architecturally suggest an inflating balloon at the entry (with a tensile fabric roof) and an inflated balloon at the main 75 foot tall gallery. A 300 foot diameter lake filled with recycled water forms a focal point of the plaza. An immersive film and balloon flight simulators are part of the visitor experience. The building has balconies, roof decks, and a large plaza in front of the balloon gallery for spectator viewing of the Balloon Fiesta event.
