First National Rio Grande Headquarters

Albuquerque, NM

GALLERY

The First National Rio Grande (FNRG) Headquarters is a 7,800 sf renovation within an existing building in Albuquerque’s historic Old Town buffer zone. This building is part of the existing San Felipe Office/Restaurant/Retail center located at 2101 Mountain Road, NW. The goal of the project was to relocate existing tenants, FNRG and Studio Southwest Architects, within the building to meet their expansion and consolidation needs. The project included a full exterior re-stuccoing, new windows, and lighting for the entire building.

This project had an aggressive schedule (4 months) with the requirement to maintain two functioning businesses during the renovation. The overall project was achieved in three phases. The goal to be green and sustainable was achieved by performing selective demolition, storing salvaged materials and reusing lighting, carpeting, and furnishings throughout each phase.
