Jennifer Penner is a licensed architect and was elevated to Principal at Studio Southwest Architects in 2026. She brings design leadership and technical expertise to a range of civic, educational, cultural, and infrastructure projects throughout New Mexico. Her work reflects a collaborative, detail-driven approach and a commitment to serving communities across the state.

In 2025, the Valencia County Transit Facility, for which Jennifer served as lead designer, earned LEED Gold certification—reflecting the firm’s commitment to efficient design, sustainable systems, resilience, and occupant well-being. As a Principal, Jennifer continues to help guide the firm while advancing its long-standing tradition of thoughtful, community-centered architecture throughout New Mexico.

Jennifer is active in the architecture community, having served in roles ranging from the AIA Western Mountain Region Associate Director to AIA New Mexico President, advocating for thoughtful design and the professional development of emerging professionals.
