When Manuel Lujan Insurance and HUB New Mexico merged, they consolidated leased office space into a 33,000 sf fully renovated Albuquerque headquarters that can accommodate 178 employees. Studio Southwest Architects designed this two-floor tenant improvement remodel at the five-story Marshall building. This facility houses the business insurance, employee benefits, and personal insurance as well as all the local specialty program departments.
Studio Southwest Architects was awarded the design and space needs assessment contract in September of 2013. The first phase of 14,000 sf was fully renovated by December 15, 2013 with the second phase of 19,000 sf planned for completion February 15, 2014. This ambitious schedule was met by breaking the project into two separate phases and working closely with the contractor and the City of Albuquerque Permitting Authority. Completed on time and within budget, this project has greatly improved the quality of the space and efficiency of the operation.
