The National Atomic Museum is the only National Museum located off the Mall in Washington DC. The project is situated on an 11 acre site in Southeast Albuquerque. The site incorporates extensive exterior displays of historic memorabilia related to the mission of the Nuclear Science and History.

The building is a 35,000 sf facility with state of the art HVAC systems and humidification systems in order to attain certification from the American Museum Association. The Grand Hall features a 10,000 sf exhibit space with a clear span structure and 28 foot ceiling heights. Three flexible classrooms are designed to accommodate up to 120 school children for demonstrations and lectures. A traveling exhibit hall incorporates a library of historic publications and data regarding the mission of the Museum. In addition to administrative staff offices, the Museum includes a gift shop, exhibit fabrication shop and an executive board room for meetings and receptions.
